Academics and Curriculum

At Lee County Pre-K, our instruction is guided by the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). These standards provide the foundation for everything we teach and are carefully aligned with Georgia’s Kindergarten Standards and the Work Sampling System, which we use to assess student progress. This alignment ensures a smooth and supportive transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten.

To enhance and support the GELDS, we use the Benchmark Ready to Advance Curriculum, which provides engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
