Car riders will be dropped off and picked up at the rear entrance of the Pre-K building on Academy Street.
To ensure a safe and efficient process, please follow these procedures: (See Map)
- Enter by turning onto 2nd Avenue past the tennis courts, then line up on Academy Street
- Left turns into the lot from Academy Avenue are not permitted
- While waiting in line, please do not block entrances or exits on Third Street
- Stop at the entrance and wait for staff to signal you to move forward
To help dismissal run smoothly:
- Display your car rider pick-up sign on the left side of the windshield at all times
- Pick-up signs will be provided during Open House
- If you need additional signs, please notify your child’s teacher at the beginning of the school year
- A sign must be visible for student release
- If no sign is present, you will be asked to park and report to the office with identification
During dismissal:
- A teacher will call students via radio
- Staff will load students on the right side of the vehicle
- Please remain in your car during loading
- If your child needs help with a seatbelt, pull forward out of the line to assist
For efficiency and safety:
- Staff will direct traffic so that up to three cars are loaded at a time
- All car riders should be picked up by 3:10 PM
